Printed Matter’s 2026 LA Art Book Fair’s visual identity and wayfinding system, designed by STUDIO LHOOQ, highlighted EZ Solrift (eazyfonts.com), a custom typeface designed specifically for the 2026 edition. The custom display font's softened forms recall vinyl lettering after years of sun exposure, where sharp edges gradually give way to smoother contours and unexpected character. Like materials that evolve under the influence of the bright Los Angeles light, the letterforms embody a quiet transformation—one that feels familiar, tactile, fluid, and deeply human. Coupled with a dynamic color palette and graphic texture package to compose a bold and flexible identity system reflecting the diversity of the Los Angeles landscape.
