Nari Ward is currently on view at the New Museum in New York.
A beautifully produced large-format, 208 page exhibition catalogue of work by Jamaican born, New York based artist Nari Ward.
Sun Splashed, the artist's first solo institutional exhibition, was a mid-career survey of large scale sculptures and immersive installations. The catalogue drew inspiration from Ward's installation Happy Smilers which reflected his experiences as a child growing up in Jamaica and as an artist in Harlem. The exhibition was organized by associate curator Diana Nawi, and has travelled to The Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia and the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston.
